Client Story: Ayalon Insurance
“The acceleration process generated the outcomes that I was hoping for and generated fantastic energies in the organization. I wholeheartedly recommend it. Experiencing a corporate entrepreneurship process accompanied by Duco allowed our organization to practice various techniques from the entrepreneurial world and created an understanding of how these methods can be integrated into an organization that is essentially conservative and is going through a transformation. For example, we now apply the “experiment first” approach that was part of training in numerous other projects that we run today”
About the customer:
Ayalon is a large insurance company that employs around 1065 employees. Ayalon operates over five regional districts: Tel Aviv, Central, Haifa, Jerusalem, and the Netanya branches. The company specializes in several main insurance fields, including car insurance, property insurance, life insurance, health insurance, cyber insurance for businesses, as well as pension plans and insurance coverage of various risks, such as disability, loss of working capacity, and more.
About the project and the challenges:
As part of a process of digital transformation that the organization was going through there was interest in adding a layer of innovation. For this purpose, we ran an organic pop-up accelerator labeled as a “Hackathon” aimed at creating ventures that will bring new value to customers, healthcare providers, and create internal efficiencies.
.
The results of the process:
At the end of the process, each innovative venture had to present itself and the value it could give to the company at a pitch event. The management had to select three projects that will receive extensive resources and funding. Out of the ten finalists, no less than four were selected, with two of them already went through production and launched. A second organic popup acceleration process is currently underway in the organization.
