Client Story: Stanford University
About the customer:
Stanford University is a private research university in Stanford, California, located in the well-known Silicon Valley. Stanford University, the only Ivy League university on the West Coast, is particularly noted for its entrepreneurship and is one of the most successful universities in attracting funding for startups. Stanford is the alma mater of one president of the United States, 30 living billionaires, and 17 astronauts. It is also one of the leading producers of members of the United States Congress.
About the project and the challenges:
One of Stanford’s faculties wanted to improve its entrepreneurial ecosystem. With an assessment, it became clear that they wanted to establish a new entrepreneurial program that filled a gap in the existing programs of the university, and whose goals and activity would not compete with existing programs in the silicon valley ecosystem. For this, we took into account different models of innovation processes from entrepreneurially advanced areas in the world. We recommended a pre- acceleration program that complements the Silicon Valley ecosystem and leverages Stanford’s unique capabilities.
The results of the process:
The results of the program were the establishment of a program that provided practical, personal, and entrepreneurial tools to university students who wanted to enter the world of entrepreneurship. It also helped filter students who took entrepreneurial courses but were not yet ready for acceleration programs in the area. The program has managed to position itself as a complementary program to the ecosystem in the area and currently places generations of entrepreneurs with high potential.
